My heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of the wonderful staff at Miss Courtney's. All of the staff have worked incredibly hard on opening, running and improving service in the tearooms over the last few weeks. I think you'll agree we all look pretty good here too - worthy of a spot on the wall amongst the glamour of the 1940's ladies.
Miss Margaret Courtney, my great-aunt originally opened her business here in 1909 and it has been run by four generations of ladies in my family. I reopened in summer 2008 as Miss Courtney's Tearooms.
We are an independent tearooms specializing in afternoon tea fare, light lunches and breakfasts. We endevour to capture the feeling of nostalgia associated with 'taking tea'. Expect old fashioned tablecloths, antique chinaware and glistening chandeliers........ ....take some time to 'take some tea' with us.

Miss Courtney's Tearooms opened on the 7th of July 2008. We have received tremendous support from old friends, neighbours and huge numbers of customers from the days of the cafe and Margaret Courtney's. It has been so enjoyable meeting everyone and hearing stories from the old days. Thank you so so much to everyone - We hope Miss Courtney's will be a part of your memories in the years ahead.
