Miss Margaret Courtney, my great-aunt originally opened her business here in 1909 and it has been run by four generations of ladies in my family. I reopened in summer 2008 as Miss Courtney's Tearooms.

We are an independent tearooms specializing in afternoon tea fare, light lunches and breakfasts. We endevour to capture the feeling of nostalgia associated with 'taking tea'. Expect old fashioned tablecloths, antique chinaware and glistening chandeliers........ ....take some time to 'take some tea' with us.

Miss Courtney's Tearooms on RTE!



Miss Courtney's Tearooms will be featuring on Nationwide on RTE monday 14th of June! We are delighted and thank you to the nationwide team Geraldine Harney and Reggie McCrohan who spent a day filming in the tearooms and were a pleasure and such to have with us.

  1. I just watched this and it was an inspiring store. Beautiful! I am craving a trip to Killarney now just to visit the beautiful tearooms! I wish we had something like this in the North West!

  2. Well done on Nationwide! The place looked gorgeous and I can't wait to visit next time I'm in Killarney, hopefully this summer. The lemon drizzle cake looked great.
